Timber Sandwich Chalkboard
The Timber Sandwich Board is designed in a traditional rustic A-frame style and features a chalkboard finish on both sides.
Instead of using chalkboard paint, we utilize a special self-adhesive vinyl on the surface of the boards. This vinyl offers several advantages, including a smoother and more durable finish, consistent color, and compatibility with both chalk sticks and most liquid chalk pens. To ensure compatibility, we provide a test piece of chalkboard vinyl to test the pens on.
The signboard itself is constructed from Aluminium Composite Material (ACM). These boards consist of a black Polyethylene core sandwiched between two thin aluminum panels, resulting in a lightweight, strong, and rust-resistant sheet that maintains its quality even when exposed to outdoor conditions.
The timber frame is locally made in New Zealand using local timber. It undergoes a flamed and stained process to achieve an appealing rustic appearance.
